Terms & Conditions

 Below are the terms of service for the customization services provided by MeggMade. By choosing to commission MeggMade, you fully agreeing to the terms listed below. During the checkout process you will be prompted to confirm that you have fully read and understand all polices. Failing to agree to these terms and conditions will inhibit you from a successful transaction.

Shipping & Returns

Customers are responsible for the costs incurred when shipping shoes to be customized. This includes ensuring that shoes will arrive safely and in the same condition in which they were sent. Customers are strongly encouraged to ship their shoes with shoe trees, cardboard molds, or at the very least “sticks and paper” to retain the shape of the shoe during the shipping process. Customers are also encouraged to obtain a tracking number and include minimum insurance on their shoes to cover the retail cost of the contents being shipped. MeggMade is not responsible for lost or damaged shoes, including the shrinking of shoes prior to arriving for customization.

Upon completion of customization, unless otherwise disclosed by the Customer, shoes will be returned in a secure, safely wrapped and packaged poly mailer. All costs are inclusive of priority return shipping / tracking / insurance to cover the cost of the shoes and customization fees. The tracking number will be provided to the Customer, promptly.

If a Customer is shipping directly from the manufacturer, the Customer must:

1. Address to MeggMade LLC

2. Identify an “Attention” recipient with the Customer’s Name

3. Provide tracking and order numbers to MeggMade 

4. Provide the style, size, color of the shoe to be shipped to MeggMade

Shoes

MeggMade Custom Designs are currently only available to be applied to Rothy’s brand shoes. If the Customer is providing previously owned, well loved shoes, it is expected that the shoes will arrive clean and free from any dirt, grime, or smells. If shoes arrive dirty or smelly, they will be returned at the cost of the Customer, without customization.

If the shoes require repair, there may be an additional fee. The Customer is required to disclose the condition of the shoe prior to shipping for customization. 

Shoe silhouettes that MeggMade is not currently customizing include: Driving Loafers, Lace-Ups, Slippers, and in some cases Chelsea's. MeggMade reserves the right to decline a specific style/silhouette of shoes not mentioned on this site. 

Customer Agreement and Acknowledgement

The Customer fully understands that their shoes will be altered by the customizing of MeggMade Custom Designs. All MeggMade customizations are irreversible and permanent. By completing a transaction on MeggMade.com, the Customer has granted permission to permanently alter their shoes. 

Refunds

The Customer understands that providing shoes to be customized is a voluntary transaction and that MeggMade offers no returns or refunds. 

Payments

A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of the order. This non-refundable deposit will hold your spot in queue.  There are no refunds for deposits made. The value of the deposit will be applied (per shoe) to the final invoice. The final payment will be invoiced once the shoe is completed and ready to ship.

Multi-shoe Orders

A non-refundable deposit will be due for each pair of shoes placed in the order. Customers can place up to four (4) pairs of shoes to be customized at a time. 

If a Customer places an order for one (1) pair of shoes to be customized, they are only permitted to have that one pair to be completed at that time. If the Customer desires to have additional shoes to be customized, a new order will need to be placed and the order will go to the back of the queue.

Absolutely no additional shoes to be customized will be permitted once the order has been placed unless an additional, subsequent order is placed. 

A Customer is permitted to place an order for more than one (1) pair of shoes to be customized and decide later to have fewer shoes customized. At which point the deposit will be forfeited.

Unused deposits cannot be applied to completed shoes. If a Customer places an order in queue for multiple pairs of shoes and decides to less than the agreed upon pairs of shoes once their spot in queue comes up, the Customer will forfeit any unused deposits.

Wash and Care

MeggMade Custom Designs are created such that they are able to be machine washed per manufacturer guidelines. MeggMade encourages all custom shoes to be hand washed to ensure the safety and maintain the integrity of the design. Customers are highly encouraged to use a shoe tree, shoe mold, or at the very least "sticks and paper" when air drying the shoes. Adhering to these care instructions will ensure the integrity and longevity of the shoe and custom design.
